From mechanical engineering into certification practice.

Studies and doctorate in mechanical engineering at TU Chemnitz, followed by research positions at the University of Karlsruhe (today KIT). From research the path led straight into industry – at a time when quality management was still seen as tedious paperwork. That is where the conviction was formed that still shapes my work: a QM system may only create as much effort as it creates value.

30 years in plant engineering, production and design.

As project manager and quality management representative in an engineering company for industrial plants, I accompanied projects in oil & gas, chemicals and pharmaceuticals across the whole life cycle – from the first process specification to handover to the operator. In a leadership role in electronics manufacturing I became a production manager who understands quality management from the shop floor rather than from a distance. Combined with design work and CE marking in the automotive field, this creates a perspective that has become rare.

Six TÜV certifications. One approach.

In addition to a doctorate in mechanical engineering, I hold six completed TÜV certifications in quality management, auditing and process improvement. These qualifications enter the consulting work not as a list of certificates but as a methodological toolkit – from the audit checklist through FMEA and SPC to Six Sigma statistics.

Working across Germany. Audit languages: DE · EN.

Consulting, training and audits are available in fluent German and confident English – a tangible advantage for international groups, for sites across the DACH region and for suppliers and customers abroad. Willing to travel throughout Germany; remote formats for document review, preparation and follow-up are a matter of course.
